NEWS: Howarths to help Jam Pan double £3million turnover
Family Business Place Member, Howarths, has been appointed by online freelancer marketplace, Jam Pan, as the company looks to double its £3million turnover by 2022 following a period of significant growth.
The partnership will see Howarths work alongside Jam Pan chief operating officer, Julia Spencer, to develop the company’s HR and team development programme and employment law compliance.
Julia Spencer said: “Our next growth push will include a strong focus on recruiting and retaining the very best industry talent to work at Jam Pan.
“We want the team we work with to help shape the future of the company and be well looked after, so we’ll be working closely with Howarths to really develop our functional HR procedures and staff development pathways to make sure all our employees – present and future - reap the benefits.”
Gavin Howarth, managing director at Howarths, said: “Getting solid HR and employment law procedures in place is crucial for any fast growth, scale-up businesses looking to recruit the best talent.
“It demonstrates a deeper level of commitment from the business to the ongoing development of staff which can really help with recruitment, while also providing the tools and templates for senior teams to manage people issues confidently and efficiently as and when they inevitably arise.
“JamPan chose Howarths because they like the fact we’re a family-run business with family values at heart, backed-up by a wealth of practical and commercial experience in working on the job with scale-up SMEs to support their growth ambitions. We are very much looking forward to working alongside the Jam Pan team and helping them shape their HR function as the business embarks on the next stage of its growth journey.”
Jam Pan was founded in 2014 by entrepreneur, Dave Wood, to create a unique marketplace to give businesses access to high-calibre freelance talent as and when they need it. It has since grown an extensive freelancer database and supported leading brands including Dixons Carphone, Quilter, Sodexo, Google, Deloitte and Shop Direct with their digital learning needs.
It was also recently awarded the title of Strategic Challenger in Fosway’s 9-Grid™ analysis of the digital learning industry.
